Staff Engagement & Advisory Committee (SEAC)

Championing the voices of Notre Dame staff employees by fostering collaboration, advocacy, and transparency.

Founded in 1996 as the Staff Advisory Council and now known as the Staff Engagement & Advisory Committee (SEAC), the group serves as a key connection between staff and university leadership at the University of Notre Dame. SEAC fosters a workplace culture rooted in respect, engagement, inclusion, and shared purpose.

As part of its renewed mission, SEAC is expanding membership to include exempt staff while continuing to represent non-exempt staff. This broader membership strengthens representation and brings a wider range of perspectives into campus conversations.

Through advocacy, collaboration, and recognition, SEAC elevates staff voices, addresses workplace concerns, and celebrates contributions across campus. Improving communication between staff and university leadership helps foster a more connected, engaged, and thriving Notre Dame community.
